For years, we have rightfully called out Disney for their piss-poor Queer representation across the board, and they deserve all the smoke.
In the same breath, I also need to say that through 5 episodes of the Willow series, they are kind of getting it right. I am pleasantly surprised.
I fully accept that I might have to walk that back depending on how the series ends, but as of now, the handling of Kit and Jade's relationship has been sweet and flirty and angsty and fun. This relationship has been all the things, and it's just refreshing to watch.
Throw in a motley crew of adventurers on a never-ending quest, magic, nostalgia, and some campy goodness, and you get a delightful show.
Y'all are sleeping on Willow 2022, and it's a shame because it's absolutely delightful.
